3 Healthy Frozen Pops Recipes

As summer starts I am seeing frozen pops everywhere, reminding me of my childhood in the sun. It makes me want to reminisce and enjoy those cold treats. I want to let my boys have a chance to enjoy frozen pops too. But so many of the ice pops out there are just frozen sugar water.

I started a mission to find healthy ways of creating sweet frozen treats that were low sugar and had added nutrition too! Silk has two great new almond milk blends that were a perfect way to add the great benefits of almond milk to my frozen pops!

The Almond Coconut Blend is unsweetened and has 0 sugar in it so this was a great way to add vitamins but not sugar. The Protein + Fiber Blend has 5 grams of fiber and 5 grams protein. You have to love protein in almond milk! Yay #SilkAlmondBlends!

We had fun taking a walk (or maybe a run) to our local Safeway to gather our ingredients for our new frozen pop recipes. I love that our Safeway is so close that when we need to get something at the grocery store we can burn a little energy too!

The boys were so excited to help out at the store, it may have been because they knew what we were going to be making. We found some ice pop molds and then we went and got our main ingredients! They were so excited to make their own pops!

After our fun trip to the store it was time to start creating. One of the great things about these recipes: they are a great, easy way to have your kids help you in the kitchen. Making pops is almost as fun as eating them. Almost …

I couldn’t decide which flavor to make so we made three different flavors! Zane and Zarek loved the Grasshopper Pie Protein Pops and the Pina Colada Pops. I really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of the Ginger Coconut Almond Pops.

These sweet frozen treats would be great to have in your freezer for those super hot days after playing in the sun! If you decide to make multiple flavor batches of pops, you can get some clear bags and twist ties to bag up the pops individually and store in a freezer bag.
