Blogging the Truth: Scraps of my Life

The Pepper Scraps blog has always been about the different phases of my life. I share these my life in hopes that someone will read my story and know they are not alone in their struggles, their journey. We all share more than you will ever know.

What Have You Read on PepperScraps?

We have talked  about being moms of young children to weight loss surgery and journeys. We have learned together how to be stronger and self-confident women. We have made healthy recipes together and played with crafts. But I miss the days of sharing the truth, the feelings, the scraps that have made me the person I am and have helped you through your own trials.

Old School Blogger – Where Did the Truth Go

I was originally an old school blogger, yep I started before blogging was even a word. Blogging used to be about sharing your thoughts and feelings. Then it changed to sharing information and people realized they could make money blogging. I took on this change slowly and it hurt to let go of being real in my writing.

What Can I Share as a Single Mom?

What can we talk about now. My life is on hold as I fight to learn how to be this new person. Taking on this new roll: Single Mom. I’m scared to talk about it – but I know I have been looking for the posts and articles to help me through so I can imagine you are as well. So I am going to try. I’m going to bare my heart to you about the things I am learning.

2018: The Year of Just Surviving

Here I am with only a couple posts for the year because I’ve been hiding. I can’t give you recipes when I only make the basics for my kids right now. The photos of Mac n Cheese just are not as impressive as Spaghetti Squash with Peanut Sauce. I don’t do many crafts with my kids – we are learning how to be this new family. We are living simply and we are just surviving and learning this new dynamic we are living.

What I Can’t Share

I can’t share my story right now. I can’t share our details. I wish I could and maybe someday I will be able to.

What I Can Share

I can share generics, I can share friends stories that have survived. I’ve had some amazingly strong women reach out to me and give me virtual hugs. We can talk about how to build new traditions as our family changes. We can talk about how taking care of yourself is so important in these moments. I want to help you know how I am taking care of my kids and supporting them in one of the hardest moments of their lives.

Stay Tuned I Will Be Back.

Hi I'm Pepper. My family and I are sharing pieces of our lives.
We hope to inspire you by showing that even small changes can make the biggest differences in your life. You don't have to go to extremes to become healthy. Just do it one habit, one meal, one walk, and one hug at a time.

Let's work together one piece at a time making better habits, eating healthier, getting moving, and most of all loving our families.
