Went to my favorite nature park the other day. Showing Kyle one of the places I would go for peace and quiet and contemplation through the last year of ups and downs.

Flowers are peeking up through the desolation winter had brought. It’s a bit like my life at the moment the little bits of joy coming to light after the desolation of sadness and pain.

New life… I’m slowly preparing for our new life. There are moments I get buried again in the past. Like snow on early spring buds, buried deep under the blanket of cold and silence.

Yet life keeps going and growing. Winter cannot hold spring back. Sadness cannot hold me back.
