Webvisions: My first web conference

Last week I decided to make a big decision and go to WebVisions 2010. For me this is going to be a big bold new experience for me. I’ve been to many other conferences. I used to attend Vision Expo every year with my optical job and I went to the book expo with my mom. So I have conference experience, but this feels like I’ll be walking into a room filled with the big guns, the big wigs of the industry I’m trying to slowly break into.

I’m just a lone self taught designer and I feel overwhelmed with the idea of even trying to walk among the talent that will be there. But I will learn things and hopefully I will meet some people I can look up to and look forward to learn from.

My goals are to find some educational materials, get some hints on what the future of web design might hold and maybe hopefully meet some great and amazing talent!

Healthy Mom = Healthy Family - That is my life motto and I hope to encourage it to be yours too. January 2011 I made the decision to lose weight and lost 80+ pounds. I saw my boys start getting active with me and I realized I wasn't only changing my life but also my boys.

Thanks Maricris – I’m hoping that I will be comfortable and bold enough to break out of my shell a bit and be myself. I hate being shy sometimes!

Hey Carma – That’s what I’m hoping! I’m also hoping to just to get used to doing these kinda things on my own. :-P

  5. How did the web conference go? Was it fun? Did you learn lots. I went to Photoshop World this year and it is amazing and so inspirational and intimidating. Lots of fun!
