How to Add and Delete Events to Google Calendar

Google Calendar

I have talked about my love for Google Calendar in the past in post My Place & Yours: Google Calendar. I shared all the different things I use my calendars for including menu planning, as an editorial calendar, family calendar, work schedules and more. Today I want to share with you the basics of adding your events to your calendar.

If you currently don’t have Google Calendar and want to try it out you can visit Google Calendar. If you currently have a google account or a gmail account you will be able to just add Google Calendar to your account. If you happen to not have a google account you can sign up for an account just for the calendar.

You may notice this is a bit of a long video, but I hope you will stick with me on it because you are going to learn some good stuff here!

I am right there with you – I super LOVE Google calendar. I don’t think I use it for everything like you (though I am getting there), but still. LOVE

Thanks for the tutorial. I’m curious: Have you tried iCal and, if so, how do the two compare?

I don’t have a mac so I don’t know how it works with iCal, but I know you can sync it with iCal here info on how: http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99355

What’s nice about having it online is that if you are at a computer that is not yours you can instantly access it. So if you were out and about and needed info from your calendar you can get that info. Now you may have an ipad or iphone so this may not be an issua for you (lucky ducky!). But that is one of my favorite things about it, also that you can share it with others.

I love Google Calendar. I actually love about all that is Google and that’s coming from a person who wouldn’t leave yahoo for anything a few years ago. I use my google calendar and even have it pulling in blog events to my blog :)
