Healthy Bentos Peanut Butter and Jelly Week

I wanted something simple but still fun, so I did all Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. Not having to think about what I was going to do for the main course made it quick and simple. Zane is happy to eat peanut butter sandwiches everyday.

I also prepacked all the sides for each bento so I just had to make sandwiches the night before. It was so easy!

Bento 91613

Star Day included star cut pb&j, strawberries, mini sweet peppers, and gold fish. I put a note in Zane’s lunch. He brought it home and asked me why I did it. LOL

Bento 91713

Dinosaur Day included pb&j cut into dinosaurs, grapes, and celery sticks. Zane doesn’t like dip of any kind, so no dip for his celery.

Bento 91813

Pirate Day included a pb&j pirate that I decorated with cheese and food markers, applesauce, sweet peppers with a pirate flag, and Annie’s Chocolate Graham Crackers.

Bento 91913

Alien Day included a pb&j bun sandwich decorated with carrots, apple slice, and candy eyes. Also added more carrot sticks, apple slices, and Annie’s Graham Crackers. We don’t do white bread usually, but hubby bought these buns and I wanted to use them up.

Bento 92013
Owl Day included a hand cut pb&j sandwich decorated with grapes, raisins, and carrot. Also I did some owl grape kabobs and Annie’s Bunny Cheese Crackers. Zane’s school mascot is an owl.

Things I Learned

  • Don’t over pack the veggies, even if he likes them just do a few and rotate them. I over mini peppered him the first few days.
  • Having the same main course makes lunches quick and easy for the week!
  • Prepacking the side dishes for the week made lunches easier

What was in your kids lunches this week?
