About Pepper

My name is Pepper, yes that is my real name. I’m a wife, a mommy, an artist, and a designer.

This is a place I can talk about my two sons. To share their milestones. To bring back memories. A place someday they may look back and say, “See how much my mom loved me”. So that they can see parts of our lives together.

And when they are older they will have a look into how I think and what I dream.

How TJ and I met…

I met TJ when we were both 16. A friend that I hadn’t seen in three years wanted me to come to her 17th birthday party because she wanted me to meet this guy. Well, my mom didn’t really want me to go because when ever we got together as kids we got in trouble. Plus she didn’t want to drive me the 40 miles to the meeting place and then pick me up again.

Well my Aunt Lisa knew I was going to meet a guy so she volunteered my Uncle Joel to drive me there, so my mom relented. The party was fun and I did like TJ he was a lot of fun. So he was the driver in the group so he had to drop me off at my meeting place and then he was going to come back (and ask me out), but my Uncle got there early so I asked my friend to give him my number.

So, a few days later on new years eve he called and left his number and I tried calling back but got his mother. But after finally getting through we talked for hours and hours. Our first date was going to see toy story. We were in love. He drove 50 miles both ways to see me everyday. And we continued dating for years and we have been together since 1996. We have been married since 2001.

Our Sons…

I have been very lucky with two very easy boys, both with great personalities.

Zane is my bright little star, singing and dancing and the star of the show. He was born April 2009 weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs 4 oz. He was not willing to leave his warm little home (his heart rate dropped at each contraction) so he was evicted by c-section.

He is very intelligent and always ahead of schedule in his abilities. But he is the sweetest little boy, too. He loves his little brother, even if he hits him with a spoon once in a while.

Zarek is my little sunshine he is full of smiles, kisses, snuggles and is always there to brighten your day and make you smile.

I elected to have another c-section because I healed so fast with my first. Zarek only weighed 8 lbs 1 oz which to me seemed small. After he was born he laid in his bassinet “singing” for over four hours. He made these little sighing/humming sounds constantly for the whole four hours. It was so sweet.

Our animals…

We have a black, long haired chihuahua named Morgil. His name is elvish for “dark star” and is pronounced More-Gill. He is a hyper little thing that loves guests.

I also have a bunny that is very sweet and looks like the velveteen rabbit. He rings a bell in his cage for food and treats and loves to get out and be social. He is the most social rabbit I have ever had. TJ calls him “Stew”, yes as in rabbit stew, but I found it a little eyebrow raising so I call him Boo. I’m sure he is very confused by this but that’s okay.
