Plum & Cream Cheese Toast

A dear friend of mine gave me a bag full of plums. Her neighbor had given up on trying harvest the sweet fruits and so she took her kids and picked as many as she could. She then shared them with everyone she possibly could.

I thought what a great way for me to experiment with cooking! But I had already planned out my meals for the week and I was excited about what I had planned. So I decided to make some snacks. I think this snack would be great with different kinds of cheeses. I’m thinking about trying goat cheese next!

Plum & Cream Cheese Toast


  • 1 slice light bread (mine is 65 calories)
  • 1 plum
  • 1 tablespoon 1/3 less fat cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon walnuts diced


  1. Toast bread
  2. Slice plum while bread is toasting
  3. Spread cream cheese on the toast and layer on plum slices
  4. Sprinkle with walnuts
