		</p><p>This week is all about dinosaurs and I found way too many fun ideas!! My list was overflowing with great crafts!</p>
<h2>If you are new to A Craft a Day</h2>
<p>A Craft a Day gives you five activities that you can enjoy with your kids, one for each day of the week.  Most of these activities work well for preschoolers, but you may be able to adapt them for your toddler. If you want to learn more about the basics of A Craft A Day you can find them at <a href="http://pepperscraps.com/2011/05/a-craft-a-day-coming-back-soon/">a Craft a Day: Coming Back Soon</a>. I will post the crafts on Saturdays so you can use the weekend to get any supplies that you may need. We are making our way through the alphabet this year so if you missed a you can <a title="A is for Apple" href="http://PepperScraps.com/2011/06/a-craft-a-day-a-is-for-apple">find it here</a>.</p>
<h2>Are you Supermom?</h2>
<p>Now I’m not supermom and I don’t expect you to be either. We don’t always get to each activity, sometimes life is just too busy. Hopefully you may try one or two of these activities with me and my kids! <strong>You don’t have to do every single one.</strong> You don’t have to be doing preschool with your child. I just hope to give you a resource for some great fun with your kids!</p>
<h2>The Crafts:</h2>
<ul>
<li><a title="Dinosaur Treats" href="http://www.amazingmess.com/2011/05/dinosaur-snacks-yummy-and-icky-treat.html" target="_blank">Dinosaur Bone Cookies </a>- I love how Stacie relabeled all the ingredients to make them dino related! Plus these are very yummy treats! I halved the recipe to stop from being the one to eat them all. <a title="Dinosaur Bone Cookies" href="http://PepperScraps.com/2011/06/dinosaur-bone-cookies-2/">Both boys helped making these</a>.</li>

<p>I remember making these no bake cookies with my mom when I was little. Of course we just made them we didn&#8217;t associate them with Dinosaurs. I loved how <a title="Amazing Mess" href="http://www.amazingmess.com/" target="_blank">Stacie </a>renamed these cookies and gave each ingredient a creative dino twist. You can check out her recipe here: <a title="Dino Cookies" href="http://www.amazingmess.com/2011/05/dinosaur-snacks-yummy-and-icky-treat.html" target="_blank">Dinosaur Snacks: Yummy and Icky Treat</a>.</p>
<p>Ingredients: Sugar (crushed bones), Butter (fat), Oatmeal (Dead Grass), Peanut Butter (Dead Bugs), Cocoa (Dirt), &amp; Milk w/Green Food Color (Swamp Water)</p>
<p><a title="dinosaur cookie ingredients by unicornbeauty, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/zaney/5857914615/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3144/5857914615_40f39a81fb_m.jpg" alt="dinosaur cookie ingredients" width="240" height="171" /></a></p>
<p>The boys took turns adding ingredients<br />
<a title="helping with ingredients by unicornbeauty, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/zaney/5857915519/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3220/5857915519_f379be4d2d_m.jpg" alt="helping with ingredients" width="240" height="171" /></a></p>
<p>I quickly boiled the sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk</p>
<p><a title="boiling yummy by unicornbeauty, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/zaney/5857916063/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5276/5857916063_4e1b469fc1_m.jpg" alt="boiling yummy" width="240" height="171" /></a></p>
<p>The boys spooned out the cookies (though halfway I had to take over)<br />
<a title="helping  by unicornbeauty, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/zaney/5858471324/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5111/5858471324_34e88d8996_m.jpg" alt="helping " width="240" height="171" /></a></p>
<p>Zane practiced his letters while we waited for them to cool</p>
<p><a title="doing our letters by unicornbeauty, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/zaney/5858472478/"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2721/5858472478_83ba7f9d40_m.jpg" alt="doing our letters" width="240" height="180" /></a></p>
<p>They loved these cookies! My husband super duper loved them! I was surprised to find each cookie only 128 calories and way worth it!</p>

		</p><p style="text-align: center;"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-564" title="P1010765" src="http://pepperscraps.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/P10107651-300x225.jpg" alt="P1010765" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I have finally decided what I am going to do for neighbor gifts. Every year I try to make our neighbors a gift, I also make a few extra for just in case. This year I am going to be making Cookie Dough Log Rolls. I&#8217;ve seen them in a few different craft places, but this is my favorite at <a title="Make and Takes: Cookie Dough Log Rolls" href="http://www.makeandtakes.com/cookie-dough-log-rolls" target="_blank">Make and Takes</a> simple yet elegant.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I know for sure that I am going to be making my favorite Super EasyPeanut Butter Cookie Recipe.</p>
<ul>
<li>1 Cup Peanut Butter</li>
<li>1 Cup Sugar</li>
<li>1 Egg</li>
</ul>
<ol>
<li>Mix all ingredients together</li>
</ol>
<p>I will be including these directions on a tag I will create with my scrapbooking supplies:</p>
<ol>
<li>Slice dough or create teaspoon sized balls</li>
<li>With a fork make a cross pattern</li>
<li>Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes</li>
</ol>
<p>I will probably make sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies and maybe a shortbread also. I think I will tie a few logs together for the gift. I am going to start making cookie dough tomorrow and wrap them up and freeze them till ready to wrap up and give away.</p>
<p>Do you make homemade gifts for Christmas? What kind of gifts have you made? Do you have any recipes for edible gifts?</p>
<p>See more edible gifts at <a title="Cents to debt free: holiday food fest: edible gifts" href="http://www.gettingfreedom.net/2009/11/packaging-ideas-for-edible-gifts.html" target="_blank">Cents to Get Debt Free</a>.</p>
