I am really loving Twitter. If you haven’t heard about twitter yet or you haven’t dove in yet then check it out: Twitter. Most people I have met online know all about Twitter, I see it everywhere, but I have gotten tons of blank stares when I have mentioned it to friends. So I thought I would share with you some of the reasons I like twitter in case you haven’t heard of it or tried it out yet.

Here are 15 reasons I like to twitter:

  1. Twitter is quick and it is easy
  2. I can read through other peoples twitters in seconds
  3. I can follow everyone in one spot
  4. I can type out a twitter in a few seconds
  5. I get instant replies to questions
  6. People forgive typos
  7. If I did text messages, I could take it everywhere with me
  8. Making friends is quick and easy
  9. I don’t have to worry about unwanted family and friends reading what I wrote
  10. I can get some good info in 140 characters
  11. I can find some great tools to use with twitter: add it to your blog, remember the milk, and more
  12. I can follow people I admire and are my mentors
  13. I can reply to someone when I’m interested in there twitters
  14. I can find encouragement from others
  15. My blog posts instantly get posted to twitter for others to read

Five things that you have to watch out for on Twitter:

  1. Over capacity – sometimes their servers just get overwhelmed, but I think the whale is cute
  2. Twitter spam – don’t just follow everyone who is following you
  3. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with too many updates
  4. Sometimes you have to prune your following list
  5. Sometimes people give you TMI

So if you haven’t joined Twitterland then maybe you this will encourage you to try it out. And if you do join (or already have) feel free and follow me.
