I was visiting one of my favorite bento sites, Wendolonia, and had to laugh. She asked, “Are you sick of Halloween lunches yet?” Yes, yes I am. And you can see the first day I opted to do a non Halloween bento. But then I decided it wasn’t fair, Zane was still in the mood for Halloween I shouldn’t be all “bah humbug” about it. So I started doing more Halloween.
I did take my photos with my phone. Which I wish I had a better option, but I made these the night before and my phone takes way better photos than my camera.
Monday: Simple Bento with PB&J with strawberries, cucumbers, and cashews.
Tuesday: Ghost Bento: Cheese sandwich ghosts, peanut butter celery, apples, and “Boo Bunnies” Annie’s Chocolate Bunnies.
Wednesday: Monster Claws Bento: PB&J sandwiches with cashew claws, cucumbers, strawberries, and cashews.
Thursday (Halloween): Pumpkin whole wheat eggo faces with peanut butter and jelly, carrots, strawberries, and Halloween Cookies.
Friday: No picture very simple bento with pb&j sandwich, carrots, bunny crackers, and apples. Plus one treat from the night before. I think having one treat when it’s candy season is good and helps your children know sweet things in moderation is okay.
Things I Learned
- Even if you are tired of the same thing over and over your child may not be.
- Photos with my camera are blah, need to find a way to fix night photos.
