Do your kids love Star Wars? Our kids love Star Wars including lightsabers. That was their special souvenir from Disneyland, but we didn’t want them fighting with their super nice lightsabers so TJ made them some great duct tape lightsabers. They are padded but have a PVC core so will really hold up.
These lightsabers would be great for pretend play, Darth Vader or Jedi Halloween Costumes, Star Wars Birthday Party or for National Star Wars Day!
What you will Need:

- Pipe Insulation
- Pipe Cutter
- Box Cutter or Knife
- Measuring Tape

That looked like so much fun for the kids! What a great idea for a fun project!
This is perfect – exactly what my son needs for his Jedi costume! Thanks for posting 🙂
Oh yay! They are awesome and they hold up really well!!
Great idea! I love how easy it is!
I personally like Star Wars a lot, although I will not go so far as to say I’m a superfan. This post, though, makes me wish my girls were into it. I haven’t watched it with them yet. I’m always worried about the violence (not because I’m a prude, but because I never know what will frighten them). Do you think 6 is old enough? What about 4 almost 5?
And I love the Gallery post. I’m definitely going to try that for my next post.
