If I thought last weeks challenge was hard this one was even harder. I am very anxious about putting an unedited photo of me up. My skin isn’t perfect and I’m not the best photographer or subject. I started taking photos and realized they looked just like the rest of the photos in this series I needed to mix it up!
I decided to change up the angle and use my tripod (that I only use once in a while with my video camera). I got some good shots, but I either was showing too much cleavage, you saw the legs of the tripod or my zit, lol. This is the best of the batch, raw (unedited):
Join Project 52: Self Portraits
Lynda (from Daily Window) and I are putting up a new linky every Monday and inviting you to participate in this project with us. This week the linky is up at Lynda’s blog. I hope you will join us!
Each week has a new theme (though this is just a suggestion not a requirement). This was the schedule for March:
- 2/28: Raw (or unedited)
- 3/7: Hidden
- 3/14: Being Green
- 3/21: Past & Present
You have a full week to link up with us. There are only two rules:
- You should share a recently taken self-portrait
- The link should be the absolute URL of your photo or entry, not a link to your homepage. Links to Flickr pages are fine!
If you want to use the Project 52 badge feel free and grab it and use it on your post. You don’t have to do every week with us you can post just once even and you don’t have to follow the weekly theme either. We just hope that you will join us for some fun.
Good to Wow Challenge
This week I’m going to try out a new challenge with my photos. I’m not a great photographer but I would love to learn more and it looks like Jill and Ashley have a great challenge and this week is self portraits!
You did a great job and I’m glad you are seeking to learn all you can about photography!
Thanks Jill, should have mentioned I broke my camera for this shot. LOL At least it takes photos still.
Pepper, I love this angle! It’s very creative & it gives the viewer a nice perspective of you, the subject. 😀
Thanks Courtney I was realizing all my photos for this project were ending up the same, so I thought changing up the angle would help. I think it really did. 🙂
I love this shot! It’s really unique. I’m excited you’re joining in with Shoot and Edit!
SO glad your camera still takes photos!
I know I’m glad I can still take pictures too! Hubby was sweet and said he thought I needed a new camera anyways (even though we have no $$ for it).
I’m very excited trying out the shoot and edit, you know me I’m just barely starting to learn how to edit my photos in PS so this will be very interesting!
Pepper – you should go back to week 1 of Ashley’s tutorials because she really covers editing photos from the ground up! I’ve learned so much!
I hope you can get a new camera!
Two unrelated things:
1. Your March design looks very nice! Love the colors.
2. You asked me once before about erasing images and I found out that it IS recommended by a lot of pro photographers to FORMAT the card INSIDE the camera to delete images. 🙂
Great perspective for a SP!
Great photo Pepper!! I really like the angle & colours 🙂
I found your blog on thesitsgirls Follow and Be Followed thread. Please check out my blog, Scathing Weekly ^_^
I think you did a great job. Love the shadows.
I like your photo. 🙂
I need to do this. I’m always the photographer, not the subject!
Yay!! Stopping in from #cocktail. Thanks so much for setting it up 🙂 I can’t believe we broke the chat!! It worked out for me. My kids wouldn’t go to bed!
Great self portrait.
Is that a desk? The pattern is so cute!
I love the angle of your pic. I’m going to have to try that. Great photograph. 🙂
Why are women so critical of how they look in pictures. I hate having my picture taken. I hate the results even when other people say they’re nice. I must get over it.
Your picture is great.
stopping by from SITS cocktail hour. can’t wait to check out your blog
I can never get a good shot from my computer camera. I’m glad I’m not the only one. Cocktail hour!
I would never have thought of this angle. Great self portrait and I’m loving the yellow accents!
You did a lovely self portrait (subject is beautiful!). Happy SITS Cocktail Hour!
