I’m a little behind on posts this week so I decided to combine my weight loss journey post with Project 52 and show you a picture of last month and this month.
I actually really hate both pictures and I wasn’t even going to share the one on the left even though I love the picture of my boy. On March 28th I weighed about 257 lbs and yesterday I weighed 250 so this is 7 lbs lost. I really don’t see much difference, my clothes may be a little looser, but that may be because I didn’t smooth my shirt down.
Join Project 52: Self Portraits
Lynda (from Daily Window) and I are not going to be putting up the linky anymore, but still want to invite you to participate in this project with us. I hope you will join us!
This month we are taking a break from themes, so just pull out your camera and start snapping your photo!!
If you want to use the Project 52 badge feel free and grab it and use it on your post. You don’t have to do every week with us you can post just once even and you don’t have to follow the weekly theme either. We just hope that you will join us for some fun.
Your clothes do look looser! It may not be a huge change yet, but it’s progress! Good for you =) (I’m excited to see you Saturday!)
Can’t wait to see you sat too! Thanks for the encouragement! I keep meaning to ask you about P90X. I’m not ready for it yet but I want to find something when I’m up to more exercise. Though I’ve thought about checking out Zumba also.
I agree with Nicole. I think you’re clothes do look a little looser. 7 pounds in just over a month is great progress! Slow and steady wins the race is my motto – for weight loss and for blogging. 🙂 Keep up the good work!
7 pounds is a great start and wonderful progress for a month. Congrats!
You know your right that is great for 1 month. I guess it’s frustrating not being able to see the difference. I’m hoping to add a picture next month and so on to really will be able to see the change.
I completely understand the frustration. Just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll notice the difference before long!
Seven pounds is a wonderful beginning and before you know it there will be more sevens to add to that one, and you’ll be at your goal!
I know I’m actually -20 pounds since January but I don’t have pictures from then. I will keep trucking on! Thanks for the encouragement!
I’m proud of you! You are choosing to make healthy choices. Remember it took years to put the weight on, so it will take a while to get it off. Keep on truckin and you’ll be at your goal soon.
Thanks Erica! Can’t wait to see you this weekend!
Sorry, didn’t see the reply to my post before this. P90X is pretty intense and takes a lot of time (complete workouts are 45-90 minutes 6 days a week) but you definitely get results! Plus, you can modify almost everything so you don’t start out at their intensity right away, you up your intensity as you go. I’ve also done Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred which I really like. It’s closer to 25 minutes and it’s a circuit training style workout so you do 3 circuits of: 3 mins strength, 2 mins cardio, 1 min abs. You don’t need any fancy equipment for either, just 1 or 2 pairs of weights and/or a set of bands, and everything can be done in a fairly small space. That’s why I like both those workouts so much!
Losing 7lbs is a big deal. weight loss is tough so 7lbs is a real accomplishment. Just take it one pound at a time but you are doing really good to have lost so much already. Good luck and keep at it. You inspire me.
wohoo 7lbs.. my weight haven’t move any *sobs* still maintain 160
I’m trying to make random workout everyday.. from walk aerobics to Jillian’s dvd and Beachbody “Insanity” workout. and the last two are way out of my league but as Jillian said.. our body will adapt.. oh well, I at least need to make 10 fitness minutes to make sure I “move” ahax !
All the best ~ and I also seen your vid. Your tools sound interesting
What do you think of Jillian’s Dvd I’ve thought about getting one. Almost bought one the other night.
