My second week since joining #mamavation and already I’m making great progress. I was afraid I was going to have to write this post and write about the fact I had gained 3 pounds. But it was all water weight from the extra hard work I’ve been doing around our house.
Exercise Comes in All Forms
One thing to remember as you are trying to get healthy is that exercise comes in all forms. Last week you may have seen that I suddenly had a construction project in my home. I started getting in the hardest workouts in my life last week:
Ripping out carpet, moving heavy furniture, hammering, pulling up carpet tack strips, carrying or rolling pounds & pounds of carpet, sanding, painting and even more. After a couple hours I would have sweat pouring down my face and I was so sore, I still am. But you know what it felt good!
So when you are looking around you don’t forget that even heavy cleaning your house, rearranging furniture, and other things you may do around your house can be a great workout!
Non-Scale Victory (NSV)
My rings are so loose I’m really going to have to find a solution. Thinking about what they used to do long ago where they put floss around the bottom of the ring to size it down.
Scale Victory: Beating the 190s
Finally beat the 190s, been fighting to get beyond that number for over a month.
This Weeks Goals:
- Get in 3-5 workouts in this week ( This may include working more on my floors)
- Add all my food to my food diary everyday
- Drink at least 60 ounces of water each day
House work is the hardest workout! Great job, keep it up!
Home remodeling is a great workout, and you get the bonus of having your house look the way you want it! Good luck this week and stay hydrated 🙂
One of my personal favorite workouts is mowing the yard. I feel so accomplished when I get done and I know my muscles are worked!
Everyday movement can be a great workout – especially when you recognize that it is work.
Love your NSV for this week! The rings don’t lie!
